Last year I photographed Jake, Shannon's older brother, for his Senior Photos. I was so happy to hear from the family again when the time came for Shannon's photos. Tracey, their mom, Shannon, and I decided on Buttermilk Falls for her session. It was fun hearing about her softball team and her plans to play in college. She's clearly a dedicated player, and I'm so excited for all she has ahead of her!
Here are a few of my favorites:

John and Kristen - Engagement Session
I met John and Kristen to talk about their wedding near the end of October. Just two and a half weeks later, we were shooting their E-Session near Phipps and around Schenley Park. It was another gorgeous day, and it was so nice to spend an afternoon with them - and with my friend Tabitha, who came along to shoot with us.
John and Kristen were wonderful to work with. They were so comfortable together, but a few times, the way they looked at each other had elements of awe, as if they really see each other as well. Beautiful...
Here's a few I especially love:

Steve and Kara - Engagement Session
I met Kara at a bridal show earlier this year. In all the craziness, we were able to chat for a few minutes about her wedding, and soon after she decided to book! She and Steve decided on Buttermilk Falls for their Engagement Session - on one of the most perfect November days I've ever seen. It was over 70 degrees, sunny, with a light breeze... gorgeous. Kara and Steve are adorable together. So many times throughout the session, I would see little things that told me how much they care about each other - the way he looked at her, the way she laughed so easily with him... As I was shooting, I was reminded once again of why I'm happy doing what I do. Photographing love is a beautiful privilege.

The Hudec Family
As I've mentioned, I love referrals - so I was so happy to hear that I was recommended to the Hudec's by Kristin Lundy, one of my brides from this summer (thank you, Kristin!). I met them at their house a few weeks ago, and was immediately smitten by their adorable twins! It was a little chilly that day, so we spent quite a bit of time indoors, but decided to bundle them up for a few outside as well. They were sweet and smiley the whole time, and so fun to photograph!
Special thanks to their grandma and great grandma who were on hand to help!
